Premier Energies Commissions 5.6 GW Solar Facility, Reaching 11.1 GW Module Capacity

Hyderabad, 30 March 2026 – Premier Energies Limited has commissioned a 5.6 GW solar module manufacturing facility in Seetharampur, Telangana, with production now underway. The 75-acre facility is expected to create approximately 2,000 jobs and bolster the local economy, contributing to India’s clean energy manufacturing capabilities.

With this addition, Premier Energies’ total solar module capacity has reached 11.1 GW, strengthening its position as a leading solar manufacturer in India. The new facility utilizes advanced, highly automated manufacturing lines, producing four G12R TOPCon high-efficiency modules every 16 seconds. The automated process ensures precision, consistent quality, and efficient throughput, while also reducing operating costs.

The facility incorporates AI-powered fault detection for real-time defect identification and correction, enhancing module reliability and performance. Integration of TOPCon technology with Zero Busbar architecture enables the delivery of high-performance solar modules with increased energy yield, reduced optical losses, and improved durability.

According to Chiranjeev Saluja, Managing Director of Premier Energies, “The commissioning of this new hi-tech plant is a significant milestone in our journey toward a fully integrated solar manufacturing ecosystem.”

Sudhir Reddy, Chief Strategy Officer, added that the facility aligns with India's renewable energy ambitions and strengthens the company’s strategic roadmap to scale integrated manufacturing.

Premier Energies is a publicly listed company currently undertaking a ₹12,500 crore capital expenditure program over three years to more than double its solar manufacturing capacity, expand backward integration into ingots and wafers, and diversify into inverters, transformers and battery systems.
