Power Grid Corporation of India Limited Wins Bid for Synchronous Condenser Project​

Power Grid Corporation of India Limited has been declared the successful bidder under the Tariff Based Competitive Bidding process to establish an Inter-State Transmission System. The project involves the installation of 2 Synchronous Condensers (SynCon) units at the 765/400/220kV Fatehgarh-II PS.

The project will be executed on a Build, Own, Operate and Transfer (BOOT) basis. This initiative includes the installation and commissioning of the two SynCon units alongside associated bays at the Fatehgarh-II PS location.

Power Grid Corporation of India Limited received the Letter of Intent for this project on July 17, 2026.
