Piccadily Agro Industries Ltd. Launches India’s First Single Malt Matured in Pineau des Charentes Cask​

Piccadily Agro Industries Limited announced the launch of Indri Rudhira, India's first single malt matured in Pineau des Charentes casks, in collaboration with The Dram Club. The release marks a pioneering effort in the Indian single malt landscape.

Only 252 individually numbered bottles of Indri Rudhira are available. Crafted in the village of Indri, Haryana, the whisky combines smoke, fruit, and oak in a complex and balanced flavor profile.

“Rudhira represents a new chapter for Indri and for Indian single malts,” said Shalini Sharma, Head of Marketing, Piccadily Agro Industries Limited. “This was never just about releasing a limited edition; it was about challenging convention and reimagining what Indian single malts can achieve.”

Tasting Notes​

• Nose: Elegant and layered, with notes of ripe orchard fruits, stone fruits, honeyed sweetness, dried apricot, subtle floral tones, and gentle peat smoke.
• Palate: Rich and full-bodied, revealing flavors of caramelised fruits, vanilla, warm spice, and oak complexity.
• Finish: Long, warming, and refined, with lingering fruit sweetness, gentle spice, and a soft smoky trail.

Indri Rudhira is currently available in Bangalore at ₹12,500.
