Mumbai, January 20, 2026 – Pfizer Limited (BSE: 500680, NSE: PFIZER) has announced key changes in its senior management structure, including the appointment of a new category lead for its vaccines business and realignment of leadership roles across portfolios, effective February 1, 2026.
Key Senior Management Changes
Pfizer Limited has appointed Mr. Nilesh Pendse as Category Lead – Vaccines, effective February 1, 2026. With this appointment, Mr. Pendse will join the company’s senior management team.At the same time, Mr. Manikantan Seshadrinathan, currently serving as Category Lead for Hospitals and Rare Disease, will transition to another role within the broader Pfizer group. He will cease to be part of Pfizer Limited’s senior management from January 31, 2026.
In addition, Mr. Prashant Mahalingam, Category Lead – Internal Medicine, will assume additional responsibility for the Hospitals business. Following this change, he will be redesignated as Category Lead – Internal Medicine and Hospitals with effect from February 1, 2026.
Profile of the New Vaccines Category Lead
Mr. Nilesh Pendse joined Pfizer Products India Private Limited in 2024, where he led the oncology business with a focus on strategic growth, market access, and stakeholder engagement aimed at advancing cancer care.Prior to his association with Pfizer, he held senior leadership roles at Boehringer Ingelheim and Novartis, managing diabetes and neurosciences divisions across sales, marketing, and franchise operations. He also brings consulting experience from Boston Consulting Group, Ernst and Young, and Accenture, where he worked on strategy, revenue acceleration, and business transformation projects.
Mr. Pendse holds an MBA in Marketing from Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies and a Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering from the University of Mumbai. He does not hold any equity shares in Pfizer Limited and is not related to any directors or key managerial personnel of the company.
