Pace Digitek’s Lineage Power Advances BESS Manufacturing Scale-Up, Targets 10 GWh Capacity by Q3 FY2027

Pace Digitek Limited, through its subsidiary Lineage Power Private Limited, has announced significant progress in its Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) manufacturing expansion program. The company's scaled, integrated approach to energy storage is being bolstered by the addition of crucial manufacturing capacity across multiple phases.

The immediate focus involves an additional 2.5 GWh capacity line whose installation, integration, and commissioning are currently in advanced stages and are expected to be completed in July 2026. Upon completion of this phase, the total installed BESS manufacturing capacity is projected to increase from 2.5 GWh to 5 GWh.

Looking ahead, Lineage Power has commenced the next phase of growth toward a substantial 10 GWh manufacturing capacity. Infrastructure development and facility preparations are complete, and orders have been placed for the subsequent production lines. This additional 5 GWh expansion is scheduled to become operational during Q3 FY2027, bringing the total installed BESS manufacturing capacity to 10 GWh.

Enhancing Integration and Supply Chain Resilience

To strengthen its integrated manufacturing strategy, Lineage Power is also developing a dedicated container fabrication facility. This facility is designed for in-house fabrication of BESS containers and is expected to be operational during Q2 FY2027. The development of this internal capacity aims to enhance backward integration, improve supply chain control, and boost execution efficiency for large-scale energy storage projects.

The company's manufacturing scale-up is directly aligned with its current business visibility, supported by an executable order book valued at Rs. 1,13,379 million and a 5.32 GWh executable energy pipeline. This planned expansion is expected to strengthen execution readiness, increase revenue contribution from manufacturing, and improve operating leverage through scale and integration.

Management Perspective

Commenting on the development, Mr. Venugopal Rao Maddisetty, Chairman & Managing Director of Pace Digitek Limited, stated that the capacity expansion reinforces their ability to execute larger projects while enhancing the contribution of manufacturing-led revenues to the business.

Mr. Maddisetty added that as production scales and backward integration initiatives, including in-house container fabrication, become operational, the company expects improved supply chain resilience and enhanced operational efficiency. He further noted that this strategy is focused on building a scalable and integrated energy storage platform that combines manufacturing, system integration, and project execution capabilities, positioning Pace Digitek to capture long-term opportunities in India's energy transition.

Pace Digitek Limited operates as an integrated infrastructure and energy solutions company across Energy and Telecom & ICT business segments. In the energy segment, through Lineage Power Private Limited, the company manufactures energy storage systems and related components for Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) design, integration, and deployment.
