
Orient Green Power's Subsidiary to Expand Wind Capacity with Renfra Energy India
Orient Green Power Company Limited announced a significant expansion plan for its installed capacity through its material subsidiary, Beta Wind Farm Private Limited. The expansion involves setting up two Wind Turbine Generators (WTGs), each rated at 3.3 MW, aggregating a total capacity of 6.6 MW.The proposal originated from Renfra Energy India Limited (Renfra), which submitted the opportunity for the installed capacity increase. Following this, Beta offered a Letter of Intent (LOI) to Renfra for the comprehensive supply, installation, and commissioning of the required wind generation units. This project is slated for completion at the Karur District in Tamil Nadu and will be executed on a turnkey basis.
The corporate governance framework swiftly approved the initiative. On May 19, 2026, Renfra provided its acceptance of the LOI. Subsequently, Beta’s Investment / Borrowing / Banking Committee (IBBC) met and, during its session on May 19, 2026, approved the expansion plan. The committee also authorized officials to proceed with finalizing the terms and conditions of the Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) Contract to be signed with Renfra.
