Orient Green Power Company Limited successfully completed a significant capacity expansion through its subsidiary, Gamma Green Power Private Limited. The achievement involves the full commissioning of 9.9 MW of Wind Turbine Generators (WTGs) in the Tiruchirappalli District of Tamil Nadu.The capacity addition was realized following an Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) Contract signed with Renfra Energy India Limited (formerly Renfra Energy India Private Limited). The scope of work was to set up three 3.3 MW WTGs, aggregating to a total capacity of 9.9 MW, on a turnkey basis.
Previously, the commissioning progress was reported in stages. The subsidiary had initially received service connections for two 3.3 MW WTGs, totaling 6.6 MW. The final phase of development concluded on April 27, 2026. On this date, Gamma received the service connection for the balance third 3.3 MW WTG.
The remaining procedural formalities were completed on the same day, April 27, 2026, allowing Gamma to finalize the commissioning. This successful completion of the 3 WTGs, totaling 9.9 MW, marks the conclusion of the capacity expansion project within the execution timeline set forth previously. The successful commissioning underscores the company’s commitment to scaling up renewable energy generation in Tamil Nadu.
