One 97 Communications Appoints New Independent Directors, Updates Senior Management Team​

One 97 Communications Limited announced significant strengthening moves within its corporate governance and management structure following a Board meeting held on July 3, 2026. The company welcomed two new Non-Executive Independent Directors (IDs) while managing the transition of existing roles and designating several senior executives as additional Senior Management Personnel (SMP).

The appointments reflect the company's pursuit of continued growth and higher profitability.

New Independent Board Members Appointed​

Two industry veterans were appointed to the Board, effective July 5, 2026, for a term of three consecutive years. The appointments include Mr. Narasinganallore Venkatesh Srinivasan and Ms. Sachee Trivedi.

Mr. Narasinganallore Venkatesh Srinivasan was appointed as a Non-Executive Independent Director. He brings over four decades of experience across finance, capital markets, banking, risk, and treasury management. His prior leadership roles include serving as the Chief Executive Officer of the Association of Mutual Funds in India (AMFI) and holding various advisory positions with the Reserve Bank of India.

Ms. Sachee Trivedi was appointed as a Non-Executive Independent Director. Ms. Trivedi is the Founder and Managing Partner of Trident Capital Investments, an FPI fund investing in India. She possesses over two decades of experience spanning global equities investing and regulatory advisory within the financial services industry across the US and Europe.

Senior Management Personnel Designations and Role Transition​

The company's management team also saw key shifts, including a transition for Ms. Urvashi Sahai and the designation of three executives as additional SMPs.

Ms. Urvashi Sahai resigned from her role as Whole-time Director and Key Managerial Personnel, effective July 5, 2026, in order to focus on executive responsibilities within the company. Although she ceased her directorial duties, Ms. Sahai will continue to serve the Company as General Counsel & Senior Vice President - Legal, designated as Senior Management Personnel starting July 6, 2026.

Additionally, Mr. Anuj Mittal (Senior Vice President - Investor Relations), Mr. Avijit Jain (Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer - Loan distribution), and Mr. Vikash Jalan (Chief Operating Officer - Consumer Payments) were designated as additional Senior Management Personnel effective July 3, 2026, based on the recommendation of the Nomination and Remuneration Committee.

Mr. Mittal, who has been with the company since March 2022, leads investor relationships and focuses on articulating the company's long-term growth story to shareholders. Mr. Jain, associated since September 2019, drives strategy across sales, partnerships, and portfolio management for digital lending businesses. Mr. Jalan, who has been with the company since September 2019, leads consumer payments, including UPI, Recharges & Bill Payments.
