India's logistics sector is poised for a major capital influx, as a clutch of industry players prepare to tap the public markets. These listed companies are launching into a fresh IPO cycle, signaling robust confidence in the sector's structural growth story.

A combined raise of approximately ₹8,000-9,000 crore is expected over the coming quarters. This liquidity event is fueling expansion across the supply chain, driven by strong demand from e-commerce and manufacturing verticals.

Mega Logistics IPO Pipeline Targets ₹9,000 Crore Raise

The upcoming IPO wave includes prominent names such as Skyways Air Services, CJ Darcl Logistics, Leap India, Caliber Mining & Logistics, Shiprocket, Horizon Industrial Parks, and Yatayat Corporation India Ltd.

These firms have filed Draft Red Herring Prospectuses (DRHPs) with the Securities and Exchange Board of India (Sebi).

The fundraising efforts are anchored by massive planned issues. Horizon Industrial Parks is expected to lead the charge with a planned issue size of around ₹2,600 crore.

Leap India Ltd and Shiprocket are also set to raise substantial capital, each planning an offering of around ₹2,400 crore. Skyways Air Services, CJ Darcl Logistics, and Yatayat Corporation India are slated to launch mid-sized offerings, rounding out the multi-crore pipeline.

Strong Demand Visibility Fuels Sector Confidence

The rush to public capital underscores the sector's increasing confidence in its growth trajectory. Companies are expanding capacity significantly to cater to accelerating demand across the economy.

Deep Shah, a senior manager at Unistone Capital Pvt Ltd, noted that demand visibility has improved significantly over the past few quarters. He cited strong consumption trends and robust industrial activity as primary drivers.

This capital access is crucial for sustaining India's projected growth path. Dharmesh Mehta, managing director & CEO — DAM Capital Advisors, emphasized that achieving India’s growth trajectory requires a meaningful scale up of the entire logistics ecosystem.

Navigating Challenges: Costs and Investor Expectations

While demand is strong, the industry is facing complex operational headwinds. Global geopolitical tensions and disruptions in key trade routes have added complexity to supply chains.

Higher freight, insurance, and volatile fuel prices have forced companies to recalibrate pricing strategies. Analysts suggest that funding expansion through public capital is now critical for strengthening balance sheets.

However, investors are expected to be choosy, mindful of past market cycles. Dev Chandrasekhar, partner at Transcendum, warned that the market now has a "longer memory."

He stressed that while logistics remains a strong sector, the valuation pricing must honestly reflect the capital intensity required for operations.
