NSE Updates Securities Transaction Tax Rates Effective April 1, 2026

Mumbai, March 31, 2026 — The National Stock Exchange of India (NSE) has announced revisions to Securities Transaction Tax (STT) rates as per the Finance Act, 2026, which received Presidential assent on March 30, 2026. The revised rates will apply to transactions executed on or after April 1, 2026.

All trading members are required to implement these changes for transactions on or after April 1, 2026, and communicate the revised rates to their constituents.
