NIS Management Limited, an integrated services platform specializing in security and facility management, has secured a contract to implement a skill development project under the Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojana (DDU-GKY) in the state of Odisha.The project, which was sanctioned by the Odisha Rural Development and Marketing Society (ORMAS), carries a total value of ₹7.93 crore and is scheduled for implementation over 24 months. Under this initiative, NIS Management Limited will provide residential skill development training to 1,200 rural youth within Odisha.
The scope of work requires the company to deliver industry-oriented residential skill development programmes. These programs include structured training, assessment, certification, and placement support, adhering strictly to the DDU-GKY framework.
Focus on Employability through Skill Development
DDU-GKY is recognized as the flagship placement-linked skill development programme of the Ministry of Rural Development, Government of India. The scheme aims to enhance the employability of rural youth through industry-oriented training. The central budget allocation for the DDU-GKY program stands at ₹750 crore for FY2026-27.As reported regarding the national scheme performance as of June 2026, a total of 18.45 lakh candidates have been trained and 12.35 lakh candidates have been successfully placed under the programme.
