Nibe Ltd Successfully Demonstrates Garudastra Mortar System’s Precision Strike Capabilities for Indian Army​

Nibe Limited, in technical collaboration with a foreign Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), successfully showcased the advanced capabilities of Garudastra, its Long Range 120mm Vehicle Mounted Mortar and Bomb System. The demonstration, conducted at the Infantry School in Mhow on June 17, 2026, highlighted rapid shoot-and-scoot operations, high rate of fire, Multiple Rounds Simultaneous Impact (MRSI), and precise target engagement using GPS and Laser guidance.

The tactical exercises commenced with a simulated Shoot & Scoot mission. Garudastra occupied a temporary firing position, coming into action in under 30 seconds and engaging the designated target with two rounds in less than 15 seconds. The system then demonstrated mobility by displacing from the location within 15 seconds to evade simulated counter-battery fire before relocating to its main firing area for accurate re-engagement of the target.

During the demonstration, Garudastra's exceptional rate of fire was put on display. A two-man crew managed to fire 12 rounds in 60 seconds while maintaining high accuracy standards. The company also executed a successful MRSI mission involving three rounds fired on distinct trajectories and with varying times of flight, which simultaneously struck the target, delivering concentrated effects.

The most critical part of the demonstration involved Precision-Guided Munition using GPS and Laser guidance. A round fired from long range achieved a direct hit on a 3 m x 3 m target, affirming the system's precision capabilities.
