NHPC Limited has appointed Shri Paresh Rasiklal Ranpara as Additional Director and Director (Personnel). He assumed the role of Director (Personnel) on 30/07/2026.

Shri Ranpara is recognized as a seasoned HR leader with extensive and diverse experience within the power sector, holding positions across both State and Central Public Sector Undertakings. His professional history encompasses organizations ranging from approximately 600 employees to enterprises exceeding 60,000 in workforce size, providing him with wide exposure to various organizational scales and complexities.

The appointment involves an individual who is neither related to any existing directors nor debarred from the office of Director by any regulatory authority.

Focus on Strategic HR Management​

Throughout his career, Shri Ranpara has demonstrated significant expertise in strategic human resource management and organizational transformation. His experience includes working at the grassroots level up to Board-level leadership, giving him deep insight into organizational dynamics.

During his tenure with Gujarat power sector utilities such as MGVCL and GUVNL, he successfully spearheaded large-scale recruitment drives to satisfy expanding business needs. Recognizing the dynamic energy environment, he played a crucial role in establishing dedicated verticals focused on energy transition and load forecasting. Furthermore, he drove strategic manpower deployment initiatives and championed upskilling and reskilling programs across various group companies, aligning workforce capabilities with future operational requirements.

Shri Ranpara has also contributed to employee engagement and organizational development by introducing sustainable initiatives. He worked closely with group companies on the formulation and harmonization of HR policies to ensure consistency while supporting business priorities.

Background at Grid-India​

In May 2023, prior to joining NHPC Limited, Shri Ranpara joined Grid Controller of India Limited (Grid-India), a Schedule 'A' Central Public Sector Enterprise, serving in the capacity of Director (HR). In this strategic role, he quickly adapted and made significant contributions towards HR policy reforms consistent with GridIndia's evolving mandate.

He placed strategic emphasis on Learning & Development by building alliances with reputable institutions and strengthening capability-building frameworks. To ensure sustained leadership continuity, he successfully implemented succession planning initiatives grounded in competency frameworks.
