Lupin Collaborates with ERN for Launch of Luforbec® in Spain
Global pharmaceutical major Lupin Limited announced a strategic collaboration with LABORATORIOS ERN S.A., a Spanish pharmaceutical company, to launch Luforbec® (beclometasone/formoterol) 100/6 in Spain. The fixed dose combination product is intended for the treatment of adult asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).This partnership merges Lupin's global expertise in respiratory care and pMDI manufacturing with ERN's robust national reach and established customer relationships, marking a milestone for high-quality respiratory care access in Spain.
Thierry Volle, President EMEA and Emerging Markets at Lupin, stated that the launch of Luforbec® in Spain follows successful introductions in the UK and Germany. He noted that this development reinforces commitment to advancing global access to quality respiratory care through the partnership with ERN.

Luforbec® is designed for the regular treatment of asthma when a combination product (Inhaled corticosteroid/Long-acting beta2-agonist or ICS/LABA) is appropriate. This includes patients who are not adequately controlled with ICS and 'as needed' short-acting beta2-agonist, or those already well managed on both ICS and LABA.The medication is also indicated for the symptomatic treatment of patients with severe COPD (defined as FEV1 less than 50% predicted normal) who have a history of repeated exacerbations despite regular therapy with long-acting bronchodilators.
