LT Foods and KidZania Launch Immersive Factory Experience for Basmati Rice Education

LT Foods Ltd., a billion-dollar global Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) company, has partnered with KidZania India, the country's largest indoor edutainment theme park, to unveil an immersive factory experience dedicated to its flagship brand, DAAWAT®. The initiative aims to educate children on the entire journey of Basmati rice, from paddy to fork.

The new experiential center, located at KidZania in Delhi NCR, is designed to engage young minds by bringing the complex processes of food manufacturing to life for children aged 4 to 14 years.

During a typical engagement, children are invited to participate in role-play activities, taking on the roles of Production Engineers. Over a duration of more than 25 minutes, participants navigate the full processing line, gaining hands-on understanding of the technology and quality judgments involved in creating the brand. They learn about the meticulous process of Basmati creation, which encompasses everything from paddy procurement and pre-cleaning to ageing, de-husking, de-stoning, colour sorting, and final packaging.

Upon completion of their simulated shift, children receive a 200g pack of Basmati along with a digital certificate of achievement, marking their journey as certified Production Engineers.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Ashwani Arora, Managing Director & CEO, LT Foods, stated that the collaboration is a step toward creating meaningful experiences for young audiences. He emphasized that the Factory helps instill values of quality, innovation, and responsibility by offering a window into the craftsmanship behind one of the world's most consumed Basmati brands.

Mr. Sanjeev Kumar, Chairman of KidZania India, highlighted that the establishment brings the product's journey, from paddy to premium Basmati, to life. He noted that the interactive experience creates deeper understanding and meaningful engagement for children and families, strengthening long term brand affinity.
