
Noida, January 20, 2026 (Tuesday) – LG Electronics India Limited (NSE: LGEINDIA) on Tuesday issued a detailed clarification stating that no demand of differential customs duty amounting to ₹11.91 crore has been raised or confirmed against the company, addressing recent market speculation.
The company said that after a detailed examination and interpretation of a previously received Order-in-Original related to a customs matter at the Nhava Sheva port, it has become clear that the said order does not impose any financial liability on LG Electronics India.
According to the clarification, the amount of ₹11,91,51,910 mentioned in the order does not translate into a confirmed or payable demand on the company. The management emphasised that the clarification has been issued to ensure that accurate and complete information is available to investors and other stakeholders.
LG Electronics India added that the communication is intended to remove any ambiguity arising from its earlier intimation and to reaffirm that there is no adverse financial impact on the company from the said order.
