Lenders Agree to 60-Day Extension for Supreme Infrastructure India Limited Scheme Completion
Supreme Infrastructure India Limited (SIIL) announced that its lenders have agreed, in principle, to a 60-day extension period to complete all remaining obligations under the Scheme of Arrangement/Compromise. This development follows a review meeting conducted with the Court-Appointed Commissioner regarding the implementation status of the Scheme, which was initially approved by the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) on May 11, 2026.The Company had previously demonstrated sufficient funds to meet its obligations under the Scheme and called upon the remaining three lenders to operationalize the escrow mechanism and execute the consequential actions required for settlement.
During the implementation phase, the process encountered delays as the three lenders sought internal guidance and clarification regarding the NCLT order of May 11, 2026, along with other related matters requiring consideration by their respective approval authorities.
To address these procedural hurdles, a meeting was held chaired by the Court-Appointed Commissioner. The meeting thoroughly reviewed the Scheme’s implementation status, the substantial payments already made by SIIL, and the availability of balance funds within the company.
Following this review, the Commissioner recommended providing additional time for completion. Based on this recommendation and noting the bona fide conduct of the Company in substantially implementing the Scheme, the remaining three lenders have agreed to an extension of 60 days for finalizing all pending obligations under the compromise.
SIIL affirmed its commitment to completing the implementation of the Scheme and stated that it will keep stakeholders informed of any further material developments related to the ongoing settlement process.
