Larsen & Toubro Wins Water Management Project in Assam
Mumbai, March 25, 2026 – Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has secured a design-build-operate order from the Guwahati Metropolitan Drinking Water & Sewerage Board in Assam for a water management project designed to deliver a continuous water supply to households in South-East Guwahati.The project aims to enhance the reliability of the city's water infrastructure and includes a comprehensive scope of work. This encompasses the design, supply, installation, construction, testing, and commissioning of a barge-mounted intake system, raw water rising main, water treatment plant, reservoirs, booster pumping station, and distribution network with household service connections.
L&T’s responsibilities also extend to providing a fully integrated SCADA system for real-time monitoring and performance management, alongside operation and maintenance services for a period of five years.
