Strategic Rationale

L&T Sapura Shipping owns and operates a heavy lift cum pipe-lay vessel used for offshore platform installation and subsea pipeline and cable laying. The business directly complements Larsen & Toubro’s core engineering, construction, and hydrocarbons portfolio, particularly in offshore projects across India and the Middle East.
By taking full ownership, Larsen & Toubro is expected to gain greater operational flexibility, tighter asset deployment control, and improved execution capability for large offshore contracts. The move also simplifies the ownership structure of a strategically important marine asset within the group.

Financial Profile of the Subsidiary

L&T Sapura Shipping has shown steady operating scale in recent years, reflecting the cyclical nature of offshore activity and improving utilisation of marine assets.
