
Mumbai, January 13, 2026: Larsen & Toubro Limited has moved to consolidate its offshore marine construction operations by acquiring the remaining 40 percent stake in its joint venture arm, L&T Sapura Shipping Private Limited, from its partner Sapura Nautical Power Pte Ltd. With this transaction, the subsidiary will become a wholly owned arm of the engineering and construction major.

The acquisition involves the purchase of 6.35 crore equity shares of L&T Sapura Shipping at a price of ₹19.26 per share, translating into a total equity consideration of approximately ₹1,224 crore. Alongside the equity acquisition, the subsidiary will also fully repay an outstanding shareholder loan of USD 16.93 million to the exiting partner.Post completion, Larsen & Toubro’s shareholding in L&T Sapura Shipping will increase from 60 percent to 100 percent, giving the group full ownership and operational control over the offshore asset.
