
KEC International Secures Rs 1,180 Crores in New Orders Across T&D, Renewables, and Civil Segments
KEC International Ltd., a global infrastructure EPC major, has secured new orders totaling Rs 1,180 crores across its various business segments. The order wins span Transmission & Distribution (T&D), Renewables, Civil works, and Cables & Conductors, marking key milestones for the company in supporting growing power infrastructure needs.The T&D segment of KEC International has received several projects globally. This includes securing a 400 kV transmission line project in Western India specifically designed to power a Data Centre. Additionally, the company secured contracts for the supply of transmission line towers in the Middle East and orders for towers, hardware, and poles destined for the Americas.
In the Renewables business, KEC International won an order for a 200+ MW Solar PV project in Western India from a renowned private developer. The Civil segment also benefited, securing an order for additional structural and civil works related to a 150 MW thermal power plant, awarded by a prominent private player in Eastern India. Furthermore, the Cables & Conductors business secured various orders across both the domestic Indian market and the overseas market.
Mr. Vimal Kejriwal, MD & CEO of KEC International Ltd., commented on the developments, noting that the T&D segment has achieved a significant milestone with its first transmission line order for power evacuation to a Data Centre from a reputed private developer. He stated that this acquisition bolsters the company's Tower Supply business with a substantial order originating from the Middle East.
The MD & CEO added that the Renewables business is strengthening client relationships through the award of a large solar project. These new orders contribute significantly, bringing the Year-to-Date (YTD) order intake for KEC International to over Rs 5,200 crores.
KEC International operates as an EPC major across multiple verticals, including Power Transmission & Distribution, Civil, Transportation, Renewables, Oil & Gas Pipelines, and Cables & Conductors.
