JSW Dulux Confirms Independence from Akzo Nobel Group Following Share Acquisition​

JSW Dulux Limited has clarified its corporate status in light of a recent media report, confirming that it is no longer affiliated with Akzo Nobel NV or any entity within the global AkzoNobel group. The company addressed the matter following the change in ownership structure that occurred on December 10, 2025.

The clarification pertains to a report published by 'www.economictimes.indiatimes.com' on July 13, 2026, which included the caption "Akzo Nobel rejects Nippons $8.6 billion offer for paint business."

JSW Dulux stated that following an acquisition, it is no longer part of Akzo Nobel NV or any associated group entities worldwide. The change was effectuated after JSW Paints Limited acquired the shares held by the erstwhile promoters—namely Imperial Chemical Industries Ltd. and Akzo Nobel Coatings International BV, subsidiaries of Akzo Nobel NV.

The ownership transition, which resulted in the company's name changing from Akzo Nobel India Limited to JSW Dulux Limited, became effective on December 10, 2025.

In light of this fundamental change in corporate structure and ownership, JSW Dulux concluded that it cannot comment on the media report, as the matter does not concern its current status within the JSW Group following the date of separation.
