
JLR Reports Q1 FY27 Sales, Noting Volume Headwinds Amid Strong Product Mix
Jaguar Land Rover Automotive plc (JLR) has released its wholesale and retail sales figures for the first quarter of Fiscal Year 2027, which ended on June 30, 2026. The company reported that Q1 volumes were affected by various factors, including temporary supply constraints from a fire at a major component supplier at the start of the quarter, market disruption linked to the conflict in the Middle East, and the planned wind down of outgoing Jaguar models ahead of the launch of Jaguar Type 01.JLR's wholesale volume for the first quarter stood at 79,300 units (excluding the Chery Jaguar Land Rover China JV). This represented a decline of 9.2% year-on-year and a drop of 16.8% compared to Q4 FY26.
The company maintained a strong product mix during this period. Range Rover, Range Rover Sport, and Defender models accounted for 80.8% of total wholesale volumes in Q1 FY27, an increase from the 77.2% share seen in Q1 FY26.

The company aims to become carbon net zero across its supply chain, products, and operations by 2039. Electrification is central to this strategy, with the goal that every brand will have a pure electric model before the end of the decade, while Jaguar will be entirely electric.
