Financial Performance Overview​

The company recorded a Profit After Tax (PAT) of ₹830 crore for the quarter, representing a 156% year-on-year (YoY) increase compared to the same period in the previous fiscal year. The Total Income (ex-dividend) stood at ₹1,496 crore, an increase of 141% YoY.

Key financial highlights for Q1 FY27 include:
  • Pre-Provisioning Operating Profit (PPOP): Increased by 38% YoY to ₹505 crore (ex-dividend).
  • Profit Before Tax (PBT): Grew 18% YoY to ₹461 crore (ex-dividend) and 131% YoY to ₹970 crore when including dividends.
  • Shareholders' Equity: Total consolidated shareholders' equity reached ₹1.37 lakh crore as of June 30, 2026.

The company also noted a total cumulative capital infusion of ₹9,890 crore from the Promoter Group, following the receipt of a second tranche of ₹5,934 crore during the quarter.

JFSL reported accelerating momentum across its diversified portfolio, particularly in lending and asset management.

Lending and Credit:
The NBFC segment saw Assets Under Management (AUM) rise to ₹30,667 crore, a 2.6x YoY growth. Quarterly gross disbursements reached ₹11,252 crore, up 2.7x YoY. The product mix remains diversified, with Mortgages (Home Loans and LAP) accounting for 45.4%, Corporate & SME loans at 44.2%, and Loan Against Securities (Retail) at 10.4%.

Asset Management:
The AMC's AUM grew to ₹18,412 crore, a 21% sequential increase. The company reported that Liquid Funds AUM have crossed the ₹10,000 crore mark.

Payments and Banking:
Jio Payments Bank Limited saw its total income grow 7.7x YoY to ₹83 crore, with customer deposits rising to ₹617 crore (a 72% YoY growth). The CASA customer base expanded 51% YoY to 3.9 million accounts. Meanwhile, Jio Payment Solutions Limited achieved a Total Payment Value (TPV) of ₹19,208 crore, up 2.5x YoY, with net fee and commission income rising 3.4x YoY.

Insurance and Reinsurance:
The insurance broking arm facilitated a premium of ₹238 crore, up 1.6x YoY. Additionally, Allianz Jio Reinsurance Limited established its initial market footprint, recording ₹266 crore in gross written premiums during its first full quarter of operations.

Digital Engagement and Strategic Partnerships​

The JioFinance app reported 25 million unique users interacting with an AI-native marketplace. The platform logged an average of approximately 34,000 product purchases per day in June 2026. The company's rewards framework issued over 204 million JioPoints to 5.7 million enrolled customers during the quarter.

Regarding strategic joint ventures:
  • BlackRock: Closing AUM reached ₹18,412 crore, up 21% sequentially. The New Fund Offer (NFO) for the Prism Specialized Investment Fund closed on July 13, 2026, raising over ₹150 crore.
  • Allianz Group: Jio Allianz General Insurance Limited was incorporated as a 50:50 joint venture to provide general and health insurance in India.
