Jindal Mobilitric Private Limited, a subsidiary of Jindal Worldwide Limited (JWL), is set to begin commercial operations with its inaugural electric scooter, the R40. This move marks a strategic expansion into India's rapidly growing electric vehicle (EV) sector.

The R40 has been developed through internal research and development at Jindal Mobilitric. The scooter features a claimed range of 165 kilometres on a single charge and is designed to balance performance, safety, and affordability for Indian consumers.

The vehicle is currently in the final stages of homologation. The company expects to begin commercial dispatches starting in July 2026, pending the receipt of necessary regulatory approvals.

Manufacturing Infrastructure and Capacity​

To support its growth objectives, Jindal Mobilitric has established a vertically integrated manufacturing ecosystem in Ahmedabad. This facility includes an electric two-wheeler manufacturing plant and an automated battery manufacturing facility.

Jindal Mobilitric has already secured an initial order book of approximately 1,000 units. The company currently operates a network of 35 dealerships across India and has set a target to expand this to 100 dealerships within the next 12 months to strengthen its sales and service footprint.

Amit Agarwal, Vice-Chairman and Managing Director of Jindal Worldwide Limited, stated that the R40 is positioned to meet demand for safe and technologically advanced mobility solutions. He emphasized that the company's integrated manufacturing capabilities and in-house battery production provide a solid foundation for long-term growth in India's green mobility sector.

The expansion comes as India's electric vehicle market sees continued growth driven by supportive policies, expanding charging infrastructure, and increasing consumer preference for sustainable mobility.

SUPREMEIND Stock Price Movement​

Supreme Industries Limited shares today tumbled by 2.90% to settle at ₹3433.7 in post-market trading. The stock shed ₹102.30 from its previous close amid a total traded volume of 88,775 shares.
