Infosys Collaborates with Valmet for IT Modernization Using AI and Cloud Technologies​

Infosys Limited, a global leader in AI-first business consulting and technology services, has formed a strategic long-term collaboration with Valmet, a global technology leader serving process industries. This partnership aims to overhaul Valmet's core IT services and deliver comprehensive end-to-end IT transformation to significantly enhance operational efficiency and align IT operations with the company’s core business priorities.

Through this engagement, Infosys will utilize its extensive industry expertise and advanced technology capabilities to integrate Valmet's IT ecosystem and services with its strategic business objectives, supporting the company’s Lead the Way strategy. The modernization efforts include reducing operational costs, optimizing existing resources, and enabling proactive management of enterprise-wide IT operations while building a resilient and future ready IT foundation.

To drive this transformation, Infosys will deploy the Infosys Topaz Fabric, described as a composable and open agentic services suite, to embed intelligence across all IT operations. This approach incorporates a human-in-the-loop model, ensuring transparency, accuracy, and governance while achieving productivity gains and accelerating issue resolution through proactive and resilient IT functions.

Furthermore, the collaboration involves leveraging Infosys Cobalt, a set of platforms and solutions designed to accelerate cloud adoption for enterprises. Together, these offerings are intended to establish scalable and secure cloud foundations for IT modernization, enabling an AI-first operating model that supports long-term business agility and sustained operational efficiency.

Arto Huuskonen, VP IT Transformation at Valmet, stated that the partnership is focused on building a resilient digital foundation. He noted that Infosys brings strong capabilities in AI, cloud, and managed services, helping them accelerate their transformation journey to create a scalable IT operation model that supports evolving business needs while improving governance and operational efficiency.
