Indo-MIM IPO Set for Massive Debut: Grey Market Premium Signals Potential 39% Surge on Listing Day

Indo-MIM is poised to make its stock market debut today on the BSE and NSE, buoyed by exceptional investor enthusiasm and a robust grey market valuation. The company's public listing has been marked by significant bullish sentiment, with the current Grey Market Premium (GMP) suggesting a strong opening day for the shares.

Market Buzz Surrounds Indo-MIM Listing Day

The IPO witnessed overwhelming investor participation, concluding its subscription period between July 23 and July 27. The company's public issue, totaling ₹3,811.21 crore, was priced at ₹485 per share and comprised a fresh issue of ₹499.10 crore alongside an offer for sale (OFS) of ₹3,311.21 crore.

Institutional investors led the surge in demand during the IPO subscription. The Qualified Institutional Buyers (QIB) category registered a significant 296.13 times subscription. Other segments also showed strong appetite, with Non-Institutional Investor (NII) subscribing at 50.63 times and Retail Individual Investor (RII) attracting a healthy 6.67 times.

Grey Market Premium Drives Listing Expectations

The grey market sentiment remains highly bullish ahead of the stock's formal debut. The latest GMP stands at ₹190, which translates to an estimated premium of nearly 39% over the IPO’s upper price band of ₹485 per share. If this current trend continues, investors anticipate the stock could debut around ₹675 per share.

However, market observers caution that the GMP is merely an unofficial indicator reflecting speculative sentiment and does not guarantee the final listing price or future performance of the shares. All eyes are now fixed on the trading day to see if the company meets the high expectations built during its IPO journey.

Financial Strength Underpins Stock Debut

Indo-MIM demonstrated strong financial health in FY26, supported by healthy growth across both revenue and profitability metrics. Total income saw a marked rise of 28.1% year-on-year, reaching ₹4,320.70 crore from ₹3,373.97 crore in FY25.

Profit after tax (PAT) also increased by 25.9%, rising to ₹533.54 crore compared to ₹423.73 crore in the preceding financial year. These robust financial figures provide a solid foundation for the company as it enters the public market.

Operational Scope and Future Fund Allocation

Established in 1996, Indo-MIM is recognized globally as a leading manufacturer of precision engineering components using Metal Injection Molding (MIM) technology. The company offers comprehensive end-to-end manufacturing solutions, ranging from mold design to final assembly.

The organization has diversified beyond MIM, integrating advanced technologies such as investment casting, 3D metal printing, and ceramic injection molding. Its products are crucial across diverse sectors, including aerospace, defense, automotive, medical devices, and consumer goods.

From the fresh issue proceeds, Indo-MIM plans to strategically allocate ₹400 crore toward the repayment or prepayment of certain outstanding borrowings. The remaining funds will be dedicated to general corporate purposes, aimed at strengthening the company’s balance sheet and supporting future expansion initiatives.
