Indiabulls is set to remain a key focus in Thursday's market trading following the announcement of a significant corporate financial move. The company plans to seek shareholder approval for a preferential issue of convertible warrants valued at approximately Rs 1,000 crore. This fundraising initiative aims to bolster the entity's growth trajectory and working capital requirements across its subsidiaries.

Indiabulls Announces Preferential Issue of Convertible Warrants

In an official exchange filing, Indiabulls confirmed that it will convene an Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) for its members. The EGM is scheduled for July 2, 2026, to solicit shareholder consent for the proposed capital raise.

At this meeting, shareholders will consider and vote on a special resolution regarding the preferential issue of Rs 1,000.07 crore. This fundraise is designed to cater to both promoter group entities and non-promoter group entities.

Key Details of the Proposed Fund Raising

The company intends to issue up to 51.55 crore convertible warrants through this process. Each warrant will be issued at a price point of Rs 19.40 apiece. This pricing structure includes a premium component valued at Rs 17.40 per warrant.

This strategic move indicates a concerted effort by Indiabulls to raise substantial capital. The preferential issue is designed to provide immediate financial stability and fuel future operational expansion.

Strategic Allocation of Raised Proceeds

The funds generated from the issuance of these warrants will be utilized for several critical corporate functions. The proceeds are earmarked specifically for the growth plans of its subsidiaries.

Additionally, the raised amount will address working capital requirements. General corporate purposes have also been identified as a planned usage area for the significant proceeds.

In prior market activity, shares of Indiabulls settled at higher levels during Wednesday's trading session. This recent positive performance provides context to the company's commitment toward future funding and expansion plans.
