HPCL Joint Venture Achieves Commercial Operations at Rajasthan Refinery
Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd (HPCL) has announced that its joint venture, the Crude Distillation Unit (CDU) and other downstream Units of HPCL Rajasthan Refinery Limited (HRRL), has achieved the Actual Date of Commencement of Commercial Operations.The milestone was reached on June 22, 2026. This operational commencement marks a significant achievement for HRRL as it begins full commercial service.
In parallel to this operational achievement, State Bank of India (SBI), which serves as the Lead Banker, has confirmed that the project met the stipulations set forth in the Rupee Term Loan Facility Agreement. SBI recorded the declaration of the Actual Date of Commencement of Commercial Operations on June 22, 2026, subsequently confirming the event via a letter dated June 23, 2026.
The commencement of commercial operations at HRRL Refinery represents a major step for HPCL and its partners in realizing the full potential of the facility.
