Hero MotoCorp, the world's largest manufacturer of motorcycles and scooters, reported a strong performance in May 2026. The company dispatched 570,068 units, marking an increase compared to the 507,701 units recorded during the same period last year. Domestic retail momentum also remained robust, with 496,957 VAHAN registrations reported.

VIDA and Emerging Mobility Expansion​

Hero MotoCorp's Emerging Mobility business, VIDA, continued its strong performance, recording 19,052 VAHAN registrations. This marks a 166% retail growth in May 2026 compared to the same period last year.

Strategically focused on capturing a new demographic of young riders, the company expanded its electric vehicle (EV) market reach. This expansion included the commencement of the DIRT.E K3 retail operations in select markets, further growing its electric mobility product portfolio and accessibility.

The company's high-impact partnership with the Kolkata Knight Riders was highlighted by Shri Nitin Gadkari, Hon'ble Minister of Road Transport & Highways, who recognized it as the Breakthrough Marketing Campaign of the Year at the Times Drive Auto Summit and Awards held on May 5, 2026.

Domestic and Global Business Highlights​

The overall domestic motorcycle and scooter business sustained strong momentum in May 2026, registering approximately 10% dispatch growth compared to the corresponding period last year. This growth was notably led by strong performances in the Deluxe 125cc and premium motorcycle and scooter segments, both of which recorded double-digit growth.

In addition to this segment strength, the company successfully launched the all-new Super Splendor XTEC 2.0. This launch builds upon the model’s legacy spanning over three decades, incorporating enhanced technology and rider-centric features to solidify its leadership in the 125cc segment.

Globally, the company's Global Business recorded robust growth, dispatching 33,284 units. This reflects a year-on-year growth rate of approximately 78%. Solid growth momentum in the global markets was attributed to strong demand across international markets, supported by an expanding premium product portfolio and targeted market expansions.
