
HCLTech Establishes Global Technology Center in GIFT City to Drive AI Solutions
HCLTech has announced the launch of its new Global Technology Center located in GIFT City, Gujarat. The facility is designed to deliver AI-led solutions specifically for global clients within the financial services industry. Beyond client delivery, the center will function as a dedicated hub for developing next-generation technology solutions and talent development programs.The inauguration of the center was attended by C Vijayakumar, CEO and Managing Director of HCLTech, alongside Shri Sanjay Kaul (IAS), Managing Director and Group CEO of GIFT City. The event was presided over by Shri Harsh Sanghavi, Deputy Chief Minister of Gujarat.
During the launch, HCLTech emphasized its commitment to establishing a local presence in Gujarat to engineer innovative AI solutions for financial services clients. The company noted that the infrastructure provided by GIFT City supports this growth while contributing to the regional technology ecosystem.
To support these initiatives and foster talent development, HCLTech has entered into Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with the Indian Institute of Technology, Gandhinagar, and Gujarat Technological University (GTU). Regarding the expansion, Shri Harsh Sanghavi stated that HCLTech's commitment to local job creation and talent nurturing aligns with the vision of providing Gujarat's youth with access to global career opportunities. He highlighted that the launch of the Global Technology Centre and the AI Lab strengthens the innovation ecosystem of GIFT City as a global TechFin hub.
