HBSUK and Hexaware Partner to Revolutionize Clinician Onboarding and Workforce Management
HBSUK, a UK-based healthcare services provider, and Hexaware Technologies, a global IT services and solutions company, have announced a strategic collaboration aimed at enhancing workforce management for HBSUK. The partnership is designed to streamline the complex process of clinician onboarding within the healthcare sector. The collaboration addresses the critical pressure faced by healthcare providers regarding workforce capacity. With approximately 7.22 million people currently awaiting treatment within the NHS, organizations are under increasing pressure to rapidly mobilize clinicians and support their workforce while adhering to strict regulatory standards. Modernizing these processes is deemed essential for helping health organizations meet rising patient demand and improve care access.
The new solution digitizes recruitment and onboarding through a secure portal. This platform allows clinicians to submit necessary credentials, identity documentation, and Right-to-Work evidence. While the initiative introduces significant digital efficiency, HBSUK's specialized compliance team continues to oversee the verification process to maintain high standards of accuracy and regulatory adherence.
Technology and Operational Agility
The workforce management system is being implemented on Journey36's cloud-based App36 platform, which utilizes multiple large language models (LLMs) to accelerate development, ongoing configuration, and implementation cycles. The platform incorporates AI governance capabilities via Axonyx.ai to ensure the transparent, compliant, and responsible use of artificial intelligence across healthcare operations. The partnership has demonstrated exceptional speed in development. By leveraging advanced platforms and global development teams, the collaboration is able to test feedback and integrate changes into production significantly faster than traditional development methods, allowing the system to continuously adapt with evolving business needs. Future planned features for June include rota management, payment reconciliation, and enhancements specifically for HBSUK's Contact Centre operations.
R. Srikrishna, CEO and Executive Director of Hexaware Technologies, stated that he is "delighted to partner with HBSUK." He added that through their collaborative engineering approach, the company is helping healthcare organizations streamline complex workflows and achieve measurable operational agility.
Shantanu Baruah, President & Global Head of Healthcare at Hexaware Technologies, noted that clinician onboarding often involves fragmented systems and multiple manual verification steps. "By bringing these processes together on a single AI-enabled platform, healthcare organisations gain a more scalable and transparent way to manage clinician workforce operations," he commented.
Keith Misson, CEO of HBSUK, highlighted the operational impact of the partnership. He said that "The ability to respond to our business needs and core workflows with such speed has been a key highlight of this collaboration," affirming that by working together to design fitting systems, they are better positioned to support UK healthcare providers.
