Gujarat Inject (Kerala) Limited (GIKL) has formed a strategic business partnership with England-based Storenergy Limited to jointly explore opportunities in the Renewable Energy Storage Technology (REST) sector in India. The partnership is set to enable GIKL to participate in the growing renewable energy storage segment within the Indian market.

As part of the agreement, the two companies will collaborate to identify, evaluate, and develop potential REST opportunities across the Indian market. This collaboration aims to harness GIKL's interest in the domestic market by leveraging Storenergy Limited's capabilities in the sector.

The initiative arrives against a backdrop where renewable energy storage is gaining increasing attention, as various industries and energy users seek more efficient methods to manage and store energy.

Commenting on this strategic move, Murli Shivshankaran Nair, Managing Director of Gujarat Inject (Kerala) Limited, stated that India's energy sector is undergoing an important transition. He noted that the partnership provides GIKL with an opportunity to explore the Renewable Energy Storage System segment in a focused manner, and he looks forward to identifying meaningful opportunities and building a strong presence in this emerging field.

The agreement establishes a framework for both companies to collaborate on suitable opportunities. Commercial terms for individual projects or opportunities will be finalized at a later stage, and the transaction is not a related-party transaction.

GIKL is a BSE-listed company based in Gujarat, and through this partnership, it is looking to explore opportunities in the Renewable Energy Storage System business and related areas in India.
