Gujarat Energy Limited Equity Shares Listed on NSE and BSE Following Scheme of Amalgamation
Equity shares of Gujarat Energy Limited, formerly known as Gujarat Gas Limited, have been listed and admitted for trading on the National Stock Exchange (NSE) and Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), effective June 18, 2026. This listing follows a Composite Scheme of Amalgamation and Arrangement involving several entities.The scheme involved Transferor Companies including Gujarat State Petroleum Corporation Limited (GSPC) and Gujarat State Petronet Limited (GSPL). The arrangement also included GSPC Energy Limited and GSPL Transmission Limited (GTL), with Gujarat Gas Limited designated as the Transferee Company, now known as Gujarat Energy Limited.
The Composite Scheme received sanction from the Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA), New Delhi, on April 8, 2026, and became effective starting May 1, 2026.
As stipulated by the Master Circular on the Scheme of Arrangement, fractional entitlements of shares have been consolidated. These shares were credited directly to IDBI Trusteeship Services Limited, which was appointed by the company. The Trust is mandated to dispose of these shares on the Stock Exchanges at the prevailing market price and subsequently distribute the net sale proceeds pro-rata among all eligible shareholders entitled to such fractional entitlements.
The allotment of equity shares, as detailed in the arrangement, has now been successfully completed and listed for trading across both major exchanges.
