
GMR Airports' Subsidiary Commences Operations at Nagpur Airport Under Concession Agreement
GMR Airports Limited, through its wholly-owned subsidiary GMR Nagpur International Airport Limited (GNIAL), has commenced operations at Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar International Airport in Nagpur. The operation takeover occurred on June 25, 2026.The commencement follows the execution of agreements concerning the handover of the airport assets and operations between GNIAL and MIHAN India Limited. This agreement was executed in the presence of dignitaries from the Government of India and the State of Maharashtra.
This milestone is achieved under the framework of the Concession agreement that exists with MIHAN India Limited. The purpose of this concession is the upgrading, developing, and operating of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar International Airport in Nagpur.
GMR Airports Limited, formerly known as GMR Airports Infrastructure Limited, made the announcement regarding the operational status of the facility through GNIAL.
