The report highlights operational resilience amidst global geopolitical instability and provides specific insights into the performance of Delhi, Hyderabad, Mopa (Goa), and Bhogapuram airports.

Operational Highlights and Performance Metrics​

The company noted that the resilience of GMR Airports was demonstrated in serving approximately 11 million passengers in May 2026 across all portfolio airports. Domestic traffic reached 8.3 million (up 6.1% YoY), while international traffic recorded 2.4 million (up 0.4% YoY).

The report provided the following long-term growth vectors for May 2026:

• 5-year Total Pax CAGR: Approximately 8.8%.
• International Traffic CAGR: Approximately 12.5%.

In terms of Year-to-Date (YTD) FY27 performance, GMR Airports crossed the 20.4 million passenger mark. Domestic pax reached 15.8 million, driven primarily by domestic traffic growth at Delhi Airport, which accounted for approximately 68% of Total Traffic in YTD FY27.

• Delhi (DEL): Recorded Highest-ever Pax in YTD FY27 and Highest-ever Domestic Pax in May 2026.
• Hyderabad (HYD): Reported the highest Domestic Pax and Domestic ATMs since December 2025.

Delhi Airport (DEL)​

Delhi continued to reinforce its position as India's largest aviation hub. In May 2026, DEL handled 7.2 million total passengers; domestically, it saw a rise of 14.7% year-on-year, with 5.4 million domestic pax recorded (a record).

DEL Traffic Insight:

In terms of cargo, Delhi handled the highest-ever volumes in May 2026 with approximately 1.1 lakh Metric Tonnes, up 14% YoY, and recorded 2.1 lakh Metric Tonnes in YTD FY27 (up 11.3% YoY).

Connectivity and Operations:
Delhi Airport now connects to 161 destinations globally (89 domestic and 72 international). New routes commenced by Air India include International flight to Hanoi, Vietnam (HAN) with a 5x weekly frequency, and Domestic service to Ludhiana (HWR) with 14x weekly frequency.

Hyderabad Airport (HYD)​

Hyderabad reported strong operational performance, particularly regarding its cargo handling and enhancements in the travel experience. The airport launched State-of-the-Art Cargo Terminal 2.

HYD Traffic Insight:

The airport enhanced passenger convenience by launching the 'Meet GIA' WhatsApp AI Chatbot and hosting luxury stores such as CHANEL, HUGO BOSS, and Michael Kors at domestic departures. A significant strategic engagement was reported between GMR Aero Technic and Boeing Defence India for P-8I Phase-56 Heavy Maintenance.

Mopa (Goa)​

Mopa Airport demonstrated steady progress on its sustainability path. The facility achieved the ACI Airport Carbon Accreditation Level 3+ certification and secured the first position for Industry Best Practices from the Goa State Pollution Control Board. Operational enhancements include the launch of the Arrival Meeters & Greeters Area, which went live on June 1, 2026.

Bhogapuram Airport​

Bhogapuram Airport is undergoing development as a greenfield facility with a design capacity of 6 MPPA in Phase 1, and is planned for completion by June 30, 2026. As of May 31, 2026, the airport reported approximately 99.4% overall progress, with airside works nearly complete. Bhogapuram International Airport was declared a 'Major Airport' by AERA on August 29, 2025.
