GlobalPay Expands Cross-Border Payment Services After Receiving Enhanced RBI AD Category II Authorisation

Mumbai, August 3, 2026 – WSFx Global Pay Ltd. (GlobalPay), a trusted provider in global payments and India's leading fintech firm for foreign exchange and cross-border payments, announced that it has secured an expanded Authorised Dealer Category II (AD II) licence from the Reserve Bank of India (RBI). The enhanced authorisation, granted under FEMA 2026 (Notification No. FEMA 401/2026), significantly broadens the scope of foreign exchange and cross-border payment services the company is permitted to offer.

This expanded licensing milestone reinforces GlobalPay’s position as a leading fintech entity in India's financial sector, enabling the company to support a wider range of requirements across international trade, remittances, and foreign exchange. The perpetual AD II licence empowers GlobalPay with regulated services designed to deliver seamless, compliant global payment solutions while strengthening its commitment to customer trust.

Under the newly expanded authorisation, GlobalPay is now equipped to undertake several key operations:
  • Undertaking all eligible non-trade current account transactions, excluding gift and donation payments.
  • Facilitating inward and outward trade remittances up to INR 25 lakh.
  • Appointing Forex Correspondent Agencies nationally to extend the reach of regulated foreign exchange services.

The upgraded capability allows GlobalPay to cater comprehensively to individuals, students, travelers, corporates, exporters, importers, and financial institutions through its extensive suite of RBI-regulated services.

Srikrishna Narasimhan, CEO & Whole-Time Director at GlobalPay, stated that the expanded AD II licence marks a critical stage in the company's growth trajectory. He emphasized that this approval allows the firm to meet evolving customer needs as global mobility, outbound travel, international education, and cross-border trade accelerate.

"This enhanced authorisation allows us to support individuals, businesses, and partners with innovative solutions that simplify cross-border financial transactions," Narasimhan said. "We believe this approval strengthens our ability to contribute to India's rapidly expanding global payments ecosystem while maintaining the highest standards of governance and transparency."

The expanded licence comes amid rapid growth in India's cross-border payment landscape, driven by increased international travel, burgeoning global trade, and the rising demand for seamless international financial solutions.
