Management Commentary and Strategic Outlook

Prem Kishan Dass Gupta, Chairman & Managing Director, provided context to the results, stating that the impact of the ongoing West Asia conflict continued during Q1, leading to imbalances and higher empty running costs. Furthermore, increased fuel prices, significant revisions in minimum wages, and rises in other input costs resulted in performance remaining aligned with Q1 last year.

The Chairman mentioned that consumption and production remained subdued due to a lack of clarity regarding the global scenario. Despite these challenges, he expressed optimism for the long term and continued plans to expand the company's network. Key operational updates include the start of construction at Indore ICD and MMLP Ankleshwar receiving customs permission for EXIM business, which is scheduled to begin operations in September. Additionally, Snowman logistics continues its expansion, remaining on track to achieve a capacity of 170,000 pallets by mid-next year.
