Gail (India) Ltd. Revises Completion Schedule for Mumbai-Nagpur-Jharsuguda Pipeline Project​

Gail (India) Ltd. announced a revision in the completion schedule for the Mumbai-Nagpur-Jharsuguda (MNJPL) pipeline project. The change, approved by the company’s Board of Directors on March 25, 2026, extends the completion timeline from March 1, 2026, to June 30, 2026.

The MNJPL project encompasses three pipeline segments: a 693-kilometer Mumbai-Nagpur segment (Part-A), a 692-kilometer Nagpur-Jharsuguda segment (Part-B), and a 317-kilometer Nagpur-Jabalpur segment (Part-C), for a total pipeline length of 1702 kilometers.

According to the company, the Mumbai-Nagpur, Nagpur-Jharsuguda, and Nagpur-Jabalpur pipeline segments are currently operational. The Maharashtra section of the Nagpur-Jharsuguda pipeline remains under commissioning and is expected to be completed progressively by June 2026.

Gail (India) Ltd. is currently seeking approval from the Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board (PNGRB) for the extension in the completion schedule.

The Board of Directors’ meeting that approved the revised schedule commenced at 6:30 p.m. and concluded at 8:35 p.m. on March 25, 2026.
