
Gabriel India Partners with HL Klemove to Accelerate Expansion in Autonomous Driving and Automotive Electronics
Gabriel India Limited (GIL), the flagship company of the ANAND Group, has entered a strategic joint venture with South Korea-based HL Klemove. This partnership aims to establish Gabriel India as a key player in the rapidly growing segments of Autonomous Driving Solutions, Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), and Automotive Electronic Products, marking a significant acceleration in GIL's transformation into a diversified mobility solutions conglomerate.Gabriel India Limited will acquire a 30 per cent less one share stake in HL Klemove India Private Limited. The acquisition involves the purchase of 3,78,44,999 equity shares of the Target Company from HL Klemove Corp., a company established under the law of Korea, for US$98.44 million.
Through this joint venture, Gabriel India Limited and HL Klemove India will focus on developing, manufacturing, and selling a comprehensive range of advanced mobility solutions. These products include radar, front cameras, lidar, automated driving and parking control units with embedded ADAS software, as well as critical automotive electronics such as brake ECUs, steering ECUs, chassis control units, and torque sensors.
The move allows Gabriel India to broaden its presence in the evolving mobility landscape. As the automotive industry moves toward safer and smarter mobility, GIL will participate in the high-growth segment supported by HL Klemove, which is noted as one of the select global groups with established development and manufacturing capabilities in autonomous driving technologies.
Commenting on the development, Mr. Mahendra K Goyal, Group Chief Executive Officer of ANAND and Managing Director of Gabriel India Limited, stated that the collaboration will foster deeper Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) engagement, expand GIL’s participation in future mobility solutions, and create enduring value for all stakeholders.
