Business Segment Highlights
The quarter saw robust growth across different product categories, supporting the overall revenue increase of 11% year-on-year. The pen segment grew strongly by 9% YoY, with revenue reaching INR 220 crs due to increased domestic demand. The Creative segment registered a substantial 23% YoY growth, generating INR 80 crs during the quarter. Furthermore, the Steel Bottles and Houseware business recorded impressive 54% YoY growth, achieving a revenue of ₹19 crs.During Q1 FY27, a combined total of 32 new products were launched across various categories. These included 18 new pens launched in different price segments. The remaining products were introduced under the Creative, Steel Bottles and Houseware, and other product lines to strengthen category presence.
The company incurred a capital expenditure of ₹43.42 crs during the quarter. This expense includes ₹33.25 crs capitalized towards the factory building at the Valsad facility, along with ₹0.39 crs spent on the Surat facility.
Management Perspective and Future Outlook
Commenting on the results, Mr. Vimalchand Rathod, Managing Director, stated that the company is pleased to report a quarter of broad-based performance, driven by continuous revenue growth. Despite facing a challenging operating environment characterized by elevated and volatile raw material prices, the focus remains on maintaining growth momentum through disciplined execution and market expansion.Mr. Rathod highlighted that diversification into Creative Products and Steel Bottles & Houseware continues to gain traction, with these businesses collectively contributing 31% of the revenue. He noted that the Writing Instruments business also delivered healthy growth, supported by domestic demand.
Additionally, he announced that subsidiary Flair Cyrosil Industries Private Limited (FCIPL) is expanding its manufacturing capacity through a fourth next-generation line, expected to be commissioned by Q4 FY27. This expansion aims to increase manufacturing capacity by approximately 35%. With the combined growth of the Creative Division and this capacity expansion, these businesses are projected to contribute between 35% and 38% of overall Company revenue in FY27.
