Eimco Elecon Launches Two New Battery-Operated Vehicles for Underground Mining

Eimco Elecon (India) Limited, a prominent player in the underground mining sector, announced the launch of two new indigenous products, the UV-A-BE and the MCAR-E. The launches mark an expansion of the company’s portfolio, reinforcing its commitment to supporting the "Make in India" concept for both mining and infrastructure sectors.

The company, which also serves India's expanding infrastructure sector through its construction equipment, utilized the launch to showcase specialized engineered solutions for demanding underground material transport needs.

Expanding Underground Mining Solutions

Eimco Elecon has expanded its underground mining capabilities with the introduction of the UV-A-BE and the MCAR-E, both designed for domestic markets and built with a focus on operational safety and efficiency.

UV-A-BE: Multi-Utility Vehicle

The UV-A-BE is a battery-operated multi-utility vehicle that was developed in India. It is engineered to manage a wide array of underground material transport requirements, including coal, minerals, and various operational supplies.

This vehicle is ideally suited for low-height, constrained mining environments. Key specifications of the UV-A-BE include:
  • Payload capacity up to 10 tonnes.
  • Compact height of 1.5 meters.
  • Safety features include flameproof and intrinsically Safe systems, meeting stringent statutory and safety requirements for Degree One gassy coal mines.
  • Capacity to transport up to fourteen personnel plus one driver.

MCAR-E: Low-Seam Mining Car

The MCAR-E is another fully indigenous, battery-operated vehicle designed specifically for low-seam mining operations. It provides an efficient and practical solution for navigating restricted underground areas.

Built to meet rigorous safety and durability standards, the MCAR-E ensures reliable performance while supporting efficient, zero-emission mobility. Like its counterpart, the MCAR-E is designed to transport up to fourteen personnel plus one driver simultaneously, thereby optimizing workforce movement and boosting operational productivity.

The two new products underscore Eimco Elecon’s dedication to innovation and safety, solidifying its position in providing advanced underground mining solutions.
