Dynamic Cables Signs Manufacturing Agreement with TS Conductor Corp for HTLS Conductors

Dynamic Cables Limited announced it has entered into a Manufacturing Agreement with TS Conductor Corp, a US-based entity. This strategic partnership enables Dynamic Cables Limited to manufacture High Temperature Low Sag (HTLS) Carbon Core Conductors, branded as TS® Conductor, utilizing advanced conductor technology.

The agreement formalizes the manufacturing process for HTLS conductors, a product expected to play a significant role in improving grid efficiency in India.

Partnership Details and Technology Scope

The manufacturing agreement is with TS Conductor Corp, a company incorporated under the laws of the United States of America. TS Conductor specializes in developing, manufacturing, and selling composite core and composite core conductors for the electric power industry. The company is noted as the owner of the patented TS conductor technology.

The core technology involves the Aluminum Encapsulated Carbon Core (AECC), which is described as significantly increasing grid capacity without requiring new infrastructure. These conductors are reported to be lighter, stronger, and capable of reducing line loss by up to 50%.

The key operational parameters of the agreement are detailed below:

ParticularsDetail

Strategic Rationale and Agreement Tenure

The agreement grants Dynamic Cables Limited a limited, non-transferable license to utilize TS Designs and Intellectual Property at its facility for manufacturing the approved HTLS conductor.

The agreement is structured for a period of twelve (12) months, and it is set to automatically renew for two successive terms of 12 months each, pending the mutual consent of both TS and DCL.

From a market standpoint, the association with TS Conductor Corp is viewed as a strategic and technology alliance. Given the premium positioning of HTLS Carbon Core Conductors over conventional ACSR/AAAC conductors, the product is expected to encounter favourable demand in India over the medium to long term. The technology arrangement enables Dynamic Cables Limited to service high-growth entities, including Power Grid, State Transcos, Railways, and renewable energy developers, by offering products with a high strength-to-weight ratio and very high ampacity.
