The subscription figures show a healthy distribution of demand across all investor categories. Retail Individual Investors (RIIs) showed solid interest, with the segment being subscribed 3.4 times against 1.25 crore shares available. However, the Non-Institutional Investors (NIIs) category demonstrated significantly higher momentum, boasting an impressive subscription ratio of 14.59 times out of 53.92 lakh shares offered.The Qualified Institutional Buyers (QIBs) segment was subscribed at a rate of 50%, against the 68.99 lakh shares reserved for this group. The minimum investment required for retail investors is set at Rs 14,807 per lot, based on the upper end of the price band and a lot size of 17 shares.
Utilization of Proceeds Targets Debt Reduction and Expansion
The funds raised from the IPO are earmarked for strategic corporate purposes by Dhoot Transmission. A major component of the net proceeds, amounting to around Rs 464.80 crore, will be utilized towards repaying or prepaying existing outstanding borrowings. The company plans to inject nearly Rs 301.77 crore into its subsidiaries to assist them in reducing their own debt obligations.Furthermore, another Rs 150 crore from the issue is dedicated to establishing new wiring harness manufacturing facilities. The remaining IPO proceeds will be allocated toward pursuing inorganic growth opportunities through acquisitions and for general corporate purposes.

Both primary brokerage houses offered a positive outlook on Dhoot Transmission's debut, though they highlighted varying aspects of the business model. AnandRathi Research assigned a "Subscribe for Long Term" rating to the IPO. The firm based its valuation on annualized FY26 earnings, seeking a P/E multiple of 44.9x, estimating a post-issue market capitalization of approximately Rs 1,78,161 million.Ventura Securities also recommended investors to subscribe to the issue, noting the company's strong FY26 performance and its strategic focus on premiumization and electrification. Ventura highlighted Dhoot Transmission’s diversified business mix and marquee customer base as key strengths. The firm pointed out that expanding into areas like battery packs and Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) will help the company benefit from increasingly stringent global emission standards.
