Dhanlaxmi Bank Limited has appointed Mr. Rajan T.K as an Additional Director (Non-Executive Independent) to its Board of Directors. The appointment, effective from July 29, 2026, grants the director a tenure of five years.

Mr. Rajan T.K was appointed by the Bank's Board of Directors on July 29, 2026, following the decision made at the board meeting.

The appointment brings deep experience in finance and risk management to the Bank's leadership. Mr. Rajan T.K boasts over 34 years of service with the Reserve Bank of India (RBI). His career highlights include serving as Chief General Manager, in-charge of Supervision of the banking sector, and holding the position of Chief General Manager at the Cyber and IT Risk Group within the Department of Supervision of RBI.

Shri. Rajan T.K was instrumental in establishing the unit responsible for regulating and supervising cyber and IT risks in the banking sector. His work included introducing major regulations related to cyber and IT risk areas and rolling out supervisory tools such as IT Examinations, off-site assessment frameworks, incident reporting, and cyber reconnaissance.

Mr. Rajan T.K has also led national committees involving various stakeholders, including the Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre (MHA), CERT-In, DoT, and National Cyber Coordinator, to address cyber and IT risks. Internationally, he represented RBI at the Financial Stability Board in Basel, Switzerland, contributing to initiatives related to cyber risks, such as developing a cyber lexicon and a cyber incident reporting framework.

His expertise extends internationally, having been a member of the Basel Consultative Group (BCG) of the Bank for International Settlements and a member of the Board of Directors of Reserve Bank Information Technology Pvt. Ltd. (ReBIT). Prior to this appointment, Mr. Rajan T.K had represented RBI on the board of two private sector banks, including Dhanlaxmi Bank Limited.
