Mega Block Deals and Institutional Shifts Realign Shareholding

Corporate restructuring and major institutional transactions dominated the day's flow. An existing shareholder is expected to divest a substantial 6% stake in Piramal Pharma through block deals, with the estimated offer size circling around Rs 1,750 crore. This development marks a key moment of flux for the pharma stock.

In high-value block trades, Pilani Investment and Industries Corporation sold 25 lakh shares representing 0.84% of the paid-up equity in UltraTech Cement for Rs 2,896.25 crore at an exchange price of Rs 11,585 per share. Crucially, these shares were entirely bought by 17 domestic and global investors, including HDFC AMC and ICICI Prudential AMC.
