Competent Authority Approves Three-Month Extension of Additional Charge for Engineers India Ltd Chief Executive
The Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas has approved the extension of the additional charge relating to the post of Chairman and Managing Director of Engineers India Limited (EIL). This approval extends the role assigned to Shri Praveen M. Khanooja, who currently serves as Additional Secretary at the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas (MoPNG).The Competent Authority’s decision allows for the continuation of the additional charge for a period of three months. The extension is effective from June 01, 2026.
As per the notification by the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas dated June 02, 2026, the position of Shri Praveen M. Khanooja—Additional Secretary at MoPNG—has been confirmed for this additional duty.
The continued assignment is subject to the earliest occurrence of either the appointment of a regular incumbent to the post or further instructions from authorities.
