Coforge Limited Opens Fourth Public Library in Vasant Kunj, Bolstering Community Outreach in Delhi​

Coforge Limited, an AI-native engineering services leader, inaugurated The Coforge Public Library in Vasant Kunj, New Delhi, on Friday, June 5, 2026. This initiative marks the fourth public library established by the company across India, following locations previously opened in Noida, Gurugram, and Hyderabad.

The launch of "The Coforge Public Library" was presided over by the Hon'ble Chief Minister of Delhi, Smt. Rekha Gupta, who attended alongside local community members, educationists, youth, and children.

In commenting on the event, Smt. Rekha Gupta expressed appreciation for Coforge’s initiative, noting that the library is a "gateway to knowledge, equality, and opportunity" and represents a commitment to empowering minds through books.

The new library facility offers a 10,000 sq. ft. reading space and contains a curated collection exceeding 15,000 titles. The collection spans various popular genres, including fiction, business, self-help, technology, spirituality, and biographies. Furthermore, the facility includes a dedicated children's zone housing 4,500 books.

Located on the first floor of Vasant Square Mall in Vasant Kunj, New Delhi, the library is equipped to host 170 visitors simultaneously. The facility will operate from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM, all year round. Entry and reading are free; however, visitors who wish to borrow books must pay a fully refundable deposit, with an exemption provided for students of government schools.

Anuradha Sehgal, Coforge’s Chief Brand & Sustainability Officer, explained that all Coforge Public Library locations are chosen to serve dense population clusters and underserved communities where access to quality reading infrastructure is limited. She stated that the Vasant Kunj library will function as a shared space, fostering learning and appreciation of different perspectives.

Sudhir Singh, CEO and Executive Director at Coforge, emphasized the company's belief that growth must be scaled alongside purpose. He noted that Coforge measures its success not only through business growth but also through the development of its people and the communities it serves.

Coforge has stated plans to expand this network of free public libraries across India, with immediate focus on Delhi NCR.
