Cochin Shipyard Limited Extends Additional Charge of Chairman & Managing Director​

Cochin Shipyard Limited (CSL), a Government of India Category-1 Miniratna Company under the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways, has announced an extension for the additional charge of the post of Chairman & Managing Director (CMD).

The Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways, Government of India, communicated on June 01, 2026, the approval for extending the additional charge of the CMD. This charge was entrusted to Shri Jose V J, Director (Finance).

The extension follows the retirement on superannuation of the then Chairman & Managing Director, Shri Madhu Sankunny Nair.

The competent authority approved the extension for a further period of 3 months. This tenure is effective from May 01, 2026, or until the regular incumbent joins the post, or until further orders, whichever period is the earliest.

COCHINSHIP Stock Price Movement​

Cochin Shipyard Limited shares today slipped by 2.62% to settle at ₹1429.4. The stock traded a volume of 920,596 shares and found support near its intraday low of ₹1424.1.
