CESC Ltd Signs Power Purchase Agreements for 500 MW Wind Solar Hybrid Projects​

CESC Limited has finalized the Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) for the procurement of power from grid connected Wind Solar Hybrid Power Projects. The agreements were signed with four entities, securing a combined capacity of 500 MW.

The agreements span several projects, with significant terms and conditions defined for each contract. The contracts are structured for long-term operation, with all agreements remaining in force for a period of 25 years.

The total procurement under these agreements amounts to 500 MW of Wind Solar Hybrid Power.

For the 300 MW project involving Purvah Green Power Private Limited, which is a subsidiary of CESC, the applicable tariff is Rs. 3.75 / kWh. For the other three entities—Vismaya Renewables India Project Private Limited, Hexa Climate Solutions Private Limited, and Sprng Energy Private Limited—the respective tariffs are Rs. 3.74 / kWh, Rs. 3.75 / kWh, and Rs. 3.75 / kWh.

These agreements facilitate the supply of Wind Solar Hybrid Power on a long-term basis, ensuring stable energy procurement for CESC Ltd.

CESC Stock Price Movement​

Today, CESC Limited shares edged higher, concluding the session with a strong gain of 4.56% to settle at ₹170.48. The stock saw robust trading action, completing the day on a total volume of 5.92 million shares.
